Welcome to my website! I am Hemlock, an animal-person. Specifically, I am a roadrunner, Geococcyx californianus, but also a french entomology student who likes things such as horror movies, metal and electro musics, and alt fashion styles.

WHAT'S A ROADRUNNER?

I've been made aware a few times that some people only know roadrunners due to the cartoon character! So here's the real thing.

The roadrunners (genus Geococcyx), also known as chaparral birds or chaparral cocks, are two species of fast-running ground cuckoos with long tails and crests. They are found in the southwestern and south-central United States and Mexico, usually in the desert. Although capable of flight, roadrunners generally run away from predators. The roadrunner is an opportunistic omnivore that mostly eats insects. They usually lives alone or in pairs. Breeding pairs are monogamous and mate for life.
